I had complete creative control when writing for Wexmark – a custom home builder in Toronto. The messaging focuses on accessible luxury through sustainable practices, ergonomic materials and inviting-yet-sophisticated language. I further distinguished the brand from other developers by entailing their high level of visual literacy and architectural involvement.

Weldtech Magazine Ad

I wrote a direct-response advertisement for Weldtech to be featured in trade and recruitment publishings. The headline, ‘Learn on-site, not on-line’ summarizes that training takes place in person despite COVID-19 – followed with details on safety protocols and further program benefits. Despite writing this as an intern, the first draft was approved with no edits required.

I collaborated with art director Josh Dacucos to develop an ad campaign showcasing 6IXBuzz's new beat store. I came up with music-specific headlines emphasizing affordability, which Josh translated into visual elements. The campaign is live on all their social channels – boasting an audience of over 2 million followers!

Joe Fresh Digital Experience & Activation

I designed an endless, algorithmic experience for Joe Fresh that encourages users to buy new garments. Customers are led to the app through shelter ads featuring a QR code, and the campaign is enriched through a brand activation – where shoppers can get a free photoshoot and GIF in the campaign’s style.

BrainFizz Website Copy

BrainFizz is a gamified learning academy that teaches children coding, math and science. I was commissioned to write copy and brand the academy as equally appealing for children and their parents. The result? Light-hearted, yet sharp and aspirational messaging. The client was extremely pleased with the first draft and required no further edits!

Toronto Fashion Icon Caffery Van Horne on THRIVING through COVID-19

VOGUE-published designer Caffery Van Horne set out to be a “pioneer of visual Imagery” at the age of 14. Since then he’s won awards for his garments, hairstyling and photography. I interviewed and wrote a GQ-style editorial on the state of fashion during COVID. Read on to witness his musings and how he’s designed for the world’s most popular dancehall artist!
